The Slovenian Section of IBBY – International Board on Books for Young People

This year the Award went to Sabina Fras Popović, a librarian and enthusiastic reading and children's literature promoter. She planned and implemented the Center for the Promotion of Reading Literacy at the Maribor Public Library. Her projects often connect reading and sport, e.g. finding innovative ways to promote reading among young athletes. Her work often pushes the boundaries where others think this is impossible.
